Olympic Torch in Cornwall

Everyone is invited to contribute their experiences and/or photos from the Olympic Torch Relay on Saturday 19th May 2012. You can e-mail anything you have to boscoppa@hotmail.co.uk.
Thank you

Archie was lucky enough to have an experience he will remember for ever.
He was allowed to touch the Olympic torch
and his patriotism inspired him to have his face painted with
the England flag

Emma, Freya and her cousins were taking part in the Olympic Torch
celebration when they saw this person dressed up as a
Cornish pasty - an unforgettable photo opportunity for them!

Below are some pictures from Emma, David and Freya Moseley
 Thank you for sharing these

The Desert

The children made a different kind of potted plant. They coloured and layered some sand and then planted a small cactus in it. They leanrt that a cactus is a plant that requires very little water.
Ooops -a technology glitch means the other photographs have been lost - apologies.

Chloe was so delighted with her coloured
sand that she did not want to wait for
the cactus plant!
The activity in progress

Great concentration and accuracy

Down the Slide

The climbing frame was set up inside due to the bad weather outside - a new experience for these girls.

Gang of Three Get Busy

Summer, Maisie and Freya had an extremely busy morning making crowns today. As a group they decided to draw and decorate three triangles and then cut them out but keep them joined together.
When Freya tried to fit the crown to Summer it was miles too small so they added two strips. measured on Summer's head and stapled rogether.
They agreed to repeat this team effort on another day as they only finished just before tidy up time.

America and Wild Animals

During the week when we were learning about America and wild Animals, Vicki made these Bald Eagles with the children. The children took their time and spent ages colouring in their birds. We are impressed by the great colouring in. The wings are made from hand prints - look out for them to be sent home or added to the learning journeys.

Sunshine at Last!

We had an ice lolly each to celebrate the beautiful weather today.
Everyone was happy, active and loved being outdoors.
The big smiles speak for themselves!
